Job Title: IT Manager.
Location: Kozhikode, India.
Reporting To: Regional Director / Head Office (Saudi Arabia).
Role Overview:
The IT Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling the entire IT infrastructure for a multi-branch retail business. This includes ERP systems (Odoo/SAP/SQL-based), server architecture, cybersecurity, endpoint monitoring, and branch connectivity. The role is execution-heavy with direct ownership of system uptime, data integrity, and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP & Business Systems:
- Manage and support ERP systems (Odoo / SAP / custom SQL-based POS systems).
- Coordinate ERP implementation, customization, and integration across departments.
- Ensure data accuracy across finance, inventory, POS, and warehouse modules.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to optimize workflows.
Server & Infrastructure Management:
- Design and deploy server architecture (branch servers + HO server model).
- Manage SQL Server databases, backups, replication, and performance tuning.
- Maintain uptime for POS servers, main servers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Handle VPN connectivity between branches and head office (e.g., Sophos firewall setup).
Monitoring & Endpoint Control:
- Implement and manage endpoint monitoring tools (e.g., ManageEngine Endpoint Central / Sophos).
- Track user activity, software usage, and enforce IT policies.
- Control access rights, prevent unauthorized software usage, and block security risks.
- Ensure full logging and audit trails for compliance.
Network & Security:
- Implement cybersecurity protocols (firewalls, antivirus, access control).
- Manage network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, and remote access.
- Identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection across systems.
- Lead incident response and system recovery planning.
Retail Systems & Hardware:
- Oversee POS systems, barcode scanners, printers, PDT devices, and IP phones.
- Ensure seamless integration between hardware and ERP systems.
- Troubleshoot store-level IT issues remotely and via local coordination.
Automation & Reporting:
- Develop dashboards and reporting systems (Power BI / SQL-based tools).
- Create APIs or data pipelines for centralized reporting.
- Automate routine IT tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual dependency.
Team & Vendor Management:
- Build and manage a small IT team in India.
- Coordinate with external vendors (ERP, hardware, networking, security).
- Ensure SLA compliance and cost-effective vendor management.

- Knowledge of endpoint management tools (ManageEngine / Intune / Sophos).
- Understanding of network security, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python / PowerShell is an advantage).
Experience & Qualifications:
- 510 years of experience in IT infrastructure & ERP environments.
- Prior experience in retail / supermarket / multi-branch operations preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
